If you’re looking to get Jeff Bezos a belated wedding present, one thing he DOESN’T need is robots! Amazon recently announced that it had added the MILLIONTH robot to its workforce! In the same announcement, the company shared that it was using a “new generative AI foundation model” called DeepFleet to make its “entire fleet of robots smarter and more efficient.” Because it’ll optimize the robots’ movement through fulfillment centers, it SHOULD lead to faster deliveries… but it’s still pretty scary!

Even scarier – particularly for us – AI is making people lose interest in news sites! Recent data suggests that in the wake of Google introducing its AI Overviews, THIRTY-SEVEN of America’s top fifty news sites have experienced year-over-year declines in traffic! The biggest drops were for Forbes and the Huffington Post, both of which went down by FORTY PERCENT! Now, I won’t want to tell these sites how to do their jobs… but nudity seems to help!

Okay, it’s clear that AI can be unnerving… but regular people can ALSO do a lot of damage! The FBI and ATF have had to post warnings to smartphone users, letting them know that they’re NOT the ones calling! It seems these government agencies are having their phone numbers spoofed, and scammers are convincing their victims that they need to send money or risk arrest! So, in the spirit of spreading the word, no legitimate agency is ever going to ask for payment over the phone… particularly not with gift cards!

On a similar note, if the Isabooty ever butt-dials you, PLEASE don’t give her money! I can barely control her as it is! Back in a bit!
