And I’m Alana Blaire. Okay, Isabella, real talk – Taking your shoes off at the airport: Is it a pain in the butt? Or is ANY excuse to take off ANY clothing in public a good thing? Well, working on the assumption that MOST people HATE that part of air travel, we’ve got some good news for you!

According to Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, you won’t have to go barefoot at the airport anymore! Since 2006, anyone going through a TSA security checkpoint has had to take off their shoes so they could be screened. The move was made nearly five years after the “shoe bomber” tried to ignite explosives hidden in his footwear. But security technology has advanced, AND the TSA now uses “layered security” that sees passengers go through multiple types of screening, including identity verification. Long story short: keep those shoes ON!

Hope that last story made you happy, because an expected GOOD rule change ISN’T happening! An appeals court has just blocked the Federal Trade Commission’s Click to Cancel rule! Passed during the Biden administration, it would’ve required businesses to make it as easy to cancel things like subscriptions and gym memberships as it was to sign up. But its implementation was delayed by the Trump administration, and now a panel of judges has said the FTC didn’t do enough to figure out the costs and benefits. Too bad!

And Grok, the AI chatbot from Elon Musk’s company xAI, has come out as an anti-Semite! Though Grok’s tirade has been deleted, it referred to itself multiple times as “MechaHitler” and accused people with Jewish surnames of spreading “anti-White hate.” This came a few days after Elon Musk posted, quote, “We have improved Grok significantly. You should notice a difference when you ask Grok questions.” Well, I can’t say I agree with the first sentence, but there’s no denying we noticed a difference!

But credit where it’s due – the AI DID make Grok sound like an awful lot of X users! Back in a bit!
