You can’t beat a summer long weekend, I tell ya! How was yours, did you get up to anything fun? Well, lots to look forward to today including Frankie Naked in the Streets as well as Emily Pineda with Entertainment!

Moving on, we had one last week and now it’s Europe’s turn to experience their first serious heatwave of the summer.

Ladies, temperatures across much of Europe are being called an “unprecedented situation”! SIXTEEN French regions are under RED ALERT over high temps right now. And parts of Germany, Italy, the UK, the Balkans, Portugal, and Spain, are also experiencing heat warnings! Towns in Portugal and Spain suffered their hottest days in June EVER this weekend – both over A HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN degrees! People are being warned to stay indoors, but there’s not much relief there either, as only about twenty percent of Europeans have air conditioning.

In other news, the U.S. Department of Justice has busted a multi BILLION dollar Medicare fraud ring. They’ve charged 324 people, including ninety-six licensed medical professionals. The fraud totaled nearly fifteen BILLION dollars, making it the biggest fraud takedown in DOJ history! The defendants are accused of everything from distributing opioids, to ordering unnecessary tests, to using stolen identities to file billions in false Medicare claims. One defendant is even alleged to have made millions by performing useless treatments on terminally ill hospice patients.

And Warren Buffett, the fifth-wealthiest man in the world, has just donated another six BILLION dollars worth of his Berkshire Hathaway stock to charity! It’s his biggest annual donation in almost two decades. The famed “Oracle of Omaha” is worth over a hundred and fifty billion, and has vowed give “ninety-nine and a half percent” of his estate to philanthropy. So far, he’s given about sixty billion dollars! This latest donation went to five charitable foundations, including the Gates Foundation.
