NAKED NEWS! Its nice to have you back Sky, how has your week here been so far? Well, I’m sure everyone is looking forward to you today, so let’s get it started with a question shall we? Have you ever been visiting somewhere that was overrun by tourists? Well, when it comes to tourists, the world’s most visited museum has had enough!

The amazing Frankie Kennedy is in our Naked Newsroom with the story.

The Louvre in Paris is best known for a famous smile – but many people WEREN’T smiling this week when workers there went on a spontaneous strike! And I do mean “spontaneous” – it reportedly “erupted during a routine internal meeting” on Monday as a protest over “unmanageable crowds, chronic understaffing, and “untenable” working conditions.” For what it’s worth, the Louvre apparently had EIGHT-POINT-SEVEN MILLION visitors last year, which is more than DOUBLE what its infrastructure was designed to handle!

Speaking of tourists, we have another example of tourists behaving badly. A 30 year old Boston man is lucky to be alive after falling over a cliff in Hawaii, while trying to get a better view of a nearby volcanic eruption. A tree broke his fall 30 feet down, otherwise he would have fallen another 100 feet, at which point there would be a very different ending to this story. He was subsequently rescued on the Byron Ledge Trail in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Of course, some companies ENCOURAGE tourism, including Starbucks! They recently put out a call for two Starbucks Global Coffee Creators, whose job it will be to, quote, “capture their journeys to unique Starbucks locations around the world on social media.” The one-year paid positions are full-time, with travel costs covered.

And check out the compensation! Pay is between 80 and 136 thousand with the chance to earn performance bonuses.
