This is definitely not as vile as some of the other movies in this lovely “genre” but it still gets plenty nasty in the third act.
Shout-out to Simon Yam who completely loses himself in the part of the deranged psychopath. His behaviour is repugnant but he plays it so over-the-top that it genuinely hilarious at times. This would have never worked as well with Anthony Wong playing the part because that guy just always looks deranged. Yam just screams Mr Ordinary. ……….Review by Lou
