First up though, Alana, what are your thoughts on the Diddy trial so far? Do you think the prosecution has proven their case?

Well, one way or the other, we SHOULD be getting a verdict soon, because both the prosecution and the defense have now rested.

That’s right, and Angel is in the Naked Newsroom to tell us what’s next.

Ladies after weeks of testimony from dozens of witnesses, the Diddy trial is nearly over. Perhaps sooner than some expected, since the defense rested without calling a single witness! Seems like their argument will be that the prosecution failed to make its case. Closing arguments began on Thursday and continue on Friday, and it’s expected that the jury will start deliberating Diddy’s fate by the weekend.

In other news, a huge cargo ship heading to Mexico has sunk in the North Pacific Ocean, weeks after being abandoned due to an onboard fire! The Morning Midas was carrying 3000 brand news cars and officially sunk on Monday in international waters off Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. The crew had abandoned the ship on June 3rd, with no injuries reported. The big fear now is pollution. According to the Coast Guard, the vessel had three hundred and fifty metric tons of marine gas oil onboard, as well as about fifteen-hundred metric tons of very low sulfur fuel oil.

And here’s something that couldn’t possibly go wrong – work has begun on a project that’ll see artificial HUMAN DNA made from scratch! This research is naturally controversial, as it could lead to a slippery slope that ends with genetically-engineered designer babies. But the Wellcome Trust, the world’s largest medical charity, is willing to risk it, given all the incredible health benefits which might be realized! For the record, there’ll be no attempt to create anything that won’t fit in a test tube or a Petri dish… for now!
