Well, for the most part, the crypto market has been for investors… but a new development may just expand that interest.

Thanks to PayPal, you may soon be able to buy your groceries with Bitcoin or Etherium! The company has just launched “Pay with Crypto”, which will allow consumers to make purchases with over a hundred kinds of cryptocurrencies. And, with the instant conversion, it’s not risky for businesses at all. PLUS, PayPal says Pay with Crypto will start with a transaction fee of just under one percent, which is significantly lower than the typical credit card transaction fees.

And just as Crypto is trying to gain mass acceptance, global crypto SCAMS are on the rise, in a major way! According to experts, between May of last year and April of this year, global crypto scams increased by FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY-SIX PERCENT! And thanks to improvements in AI, the scams have gotten more sophisticated, with replicated voices and deepfake videos making people think they’re talking to loved ones! Always be aware, people!

Of course, some losses are unavoidable – according to a new report, in the first half of 2025, natural disasters have led to over A HUNDRED AND THIRTY-ONE BILLION dollars in global losses! That’s actually below what was experienced in the same period last year, but WELL above long-term averages! Not surprisingly, the costliest natural disaster of this year has been the L.A. wildfires, causing FIFTY-THREE BILLION dollars in losses!

Here’s hoping we’re done with disasters for the year… though I’m not holding my breath! Don’t go away!
