But we’ll kick things off with your first look at today’s headlines.

Some BIG changes are coming to your 401(k)s! Specifically, you’ll soon be able to add “alternative assets” to them, like real estate, private equity, and even cryptocurrencies! This after Donald Trump signed an executive order directing the Secretary of Labor to “redefine” what are considered “qualified assets” under current 401(k) retirement rules. It’s worth noting that while the move could be a major boon for some investors, it could also increase fees and RISKS!

Donald Trump is ALSO calling for a new U.S. census that would NOT count undocumented immigrants! He made the statement in a post on Truth Social, as Texas tries to redraw its congressional maps to get more seats in 2026’s midterm elections. But it’s far from certain the plan will work. Experts have pointed out that the census doesn’t actually ASK people’s legal status in the first place, and also that it would be difficult to get a whole new census process done in time.

And if you’d like to make a cool fifty million bucks, WITHOUT having to win the lottery, then you’re in luck! The US government just raised to reward for info that leads to the arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro from 25 million to FIFTY million. The D.O.J. and State Department announced the reward, pointing out that Maduro and his cartel associates have brought TONS of cocaine into the U.S.. The reward started out at 15 million, went to 25, and they’re hoping the increase to FIFTY MILLION will help solidify his capture.
