Welcome everyone, to this Monday, August 18th edition of Naked News! We’ve got first date mistakes coming up with Cecelia, plus Emily will be revealing the new John Rambo later in Entertainment.

But first, we’re going to get you all updated on the latest headlines, including the devastation going on right now in Spain.

Spain has had to deploy another five HUNDRED soldiers as part of its efforts to tame TWENTY major wildfires across the country! Nineteen hundred military members are now acting as reinforcements for firefighters. Over the past week alone, over four hundred and forty-five square miles have burned, making this one of southern Europe’s worst wildfire seasons in decades. And the weather is NOT helping, as parts of Spain hit a hundred and thirteen degrees on Sunday!

In other news, Hurricane Erin had a WILD weekend! The storm jumped from Category three to Category FIVE on Saturday, then dropped back to three before bouncing back to FOUR by Sunday night! Erin is projected to stay dangerous for several more days, but luckily it’s not expected to make landfall in the U. S. But that doesn’t mean the country won’t be affected! The National Hurricane Center is warning that the Eastern Seaboard will likely see “life-threatening” surf and rip currents, with waves twenty-plus feet high hitting the area.

And there’s travel turmoil as Canada’s largest airline has had to CANCEL all its flights, stranding about a hundred thousand flyers! The company’s flight attendants have gone on strike, and and the union is DEFYING a federal back-to-work order! Air Canada had hoped to get planes back in the air Sunday night, following the order, but the flight attendants are standing firm, demanding the company return to the negotiating table. The FAs want higher wages, as well as to be paid for ALL work hours – currently, duties before boarding and after deplaning are mandatory, but unpaid.

That kind of unpaid works sounds pretty crazy in this day and age, so I can’t say I blame them for holding firm. Naked News continues, right after this.
