Move over Indiana Jones! Archeologists in Egypt have made one of the biggest discoveries of the century. They’ve identified a 3000 year-old mummy as Egypt’s most powerful queen, Hatshepsut! And get this: she was famous for dressing like a man and wearing a false beard. Hatshepsut was actually a much bigger icon than either of her more famous female successors, Nefertiti and Cleopatra.

The 1884 French prototype known as la Marquise is going on the auction block this year in Pebble Beach California. This contraption actually runs on coal and wood, and was a bit of a speed demon back in her day. We’re talking 300 furlongs per hour! Or about 38 MPH! Experts place its value between 1.5 and 2 million dollars.

Speaking of wheels – picture this! You’re cruising in Shanghai China when some maniac cuts you off. Seconds later, a pedestrian walks RIGHT in front of you. Better lean on the horn, right? NOPE! Because horns are now ILLEGAL in Shanghai. Seriously. Biggest city in China – 20 MILLION people – NO HORNS. Not even for the police! It’s a new government strategy geared at bringing down the city’s insane noise levels. Mind you, people are STILL sounding off. They’re just blasting their car stereos, or using loud recordings of their own voice.

Remember when MySpace was the undisputed king of social networking sites, and good ol’ Tom was everybody’s top ‘friend?’ Well, what a difference a few months can make. Industry analysts are now predicting Bebo and Facebook will soon TOPPLE the Internet GIANT. In fact, since January, Facebook has increased its membership by 500%! Meanwhile, MySpace has seen its numbers trend downwards. Sorry, Tom!

Here’s MORE proof the rich are getting richer. The world’s top number crunchers say personal fortunes have recorded a MASSIVE spike over the past 7 years! There are now 9.5 MILLION, MILLIONAIRES! There are now almost 95-thousand people worth more than THIRTY MILLION! Experts say it’s because Europe and America are doing well. Japan’s back in the game – and China, India and Russia are coming on strong!

Finally, speaking of the big bucks, imagine dropping your fortune on something that only exists in CYBERSPACE! Case in point – the recent multi-million dollar auction for web addresses in New York City! Since Internet advertising is such big business these days, a catchy URL is worth A LOT of money! The big daddy THIS year was creditcheck.com – which went for a healthy 3 MILLION dollars! Impressive, but the ALL TIME big daddy is SEX.COM, which sold for 12 MILLION in 2005.
