It’s time for NAKED NEWS! Welcome, everyone, I’m Alana Blaire. Hot Topics is on the way including the results of out latest poll question. Lucia Maria from the UK is back on the program today, talking about something that’s OH SO very British! And Eila will be going Naked at the Movies for your pleasure. First up though today, Sarah Harlow in our Naked Newsroom with a story that’ll put the FORD, in “affordable.”

That’s right, Alana! 2027 is the date that the Ford Motor Company says they will roll out its new line of affordable electric vehicles. And that INCLUDES a midsize pickup truck with an anticipated starting price of just thirty grand! And to make it happen, Ford is investing nearly two billion dollars in its Louisville, Kentucky plant! It’s obviously a bit of a gamble, but if Ford can manage to reach the cost efficiency of its Chinese rivals, it could really shake up the market!

Meanwhile, Tesla is looking to move further into the energy game! The Texas-based company has filed for an electricity license in the U.K. If approved, Tesla would be eligible to supply power to British households and businesses… and given how their car sales are PLUMMETING, it might be a good pivot!

And those of you who can still do an impression of a modem might want to sit down for this one – AOL is officially ending its dial-up internet service! According to a statement from the company, the service and its “associated software” will be discontinued on September 30th, ending a run of over THIRTY-FIVE YEARS! That’s bad news for the roughly hundred-and-sixty-thousand households that still use dial-up.

In this day and age, that number is pretty shocking! I’ll be back later in the program with more headlines so don’t go away.
