Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Naked News. I’m Isabella Rossini…
And I’m Alana Blaire. Okay, Isabella, I know it’s a bit different for us, because we’re on our phones all the time PROFESSIONALLY… but do you ever worry you might be addicted?
Well, I think we can all agree that there are times you shouldn’t be on your phone… and South Korea agrees with that so much, they made it a law!
For that story and more, let’s go to Sarah Harlow in the Naked Newsroom.
Ladies, as many students around the world are preparing to go back to school, South Korea has taken a bold step to make sure those young‘uns pay attention: it’s banned phones in classrooms, nationwide! And while most schools in the country already have some form of a smartphone ban, this bill enshrines it in law. The full country ban won’t take effect until next year.
Cracker Barrel has been on a strange journey the last few days… and it’s all the stranger for having ended up exactly where it started! After receiving huge backlash for changing its logo, Cracker Barrel announced on social media that it was reverting back to its ORIGINAL logo. Meaning all those people who went crazy are now morally obligated to eat there!
And finally, what the US Coast Guard does with the drugs it confiscates probably shouldn’t be called “trafficking”… but it just offloaded over SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND POUNDS of narcotics in Port Everglades, Florida. It’s the largest drop in Coast Guard history! The haul included sixty-two thousand pounds of cocaine and fourteen thousand pounds of marijuana, for a combined value of over FOUR HUNDRED AND SEVENTY MILLION dollars! The bulk of it came from nineteen seizures over roughly two months… and if they choose to celebrate with a party, well, it should be a good one!
That’s your first look at the news. Don’t go away.
