Hello, everyone, and welcome to Pajama Day here at Naked News! I’m Alana Blaire!
And I’m Isabella Rossini. So what do you think, Alana? Should we schedule the pillow fight or just see if it spontaneously happens? Well, many of you will be happy to know it’s not just us – EVERYONE’s wearing pajamas today!
It’s looking like a dorm in the hallways… but with a little less partying than I’m sure they’re doing in the dorms at Harvard today!
That’s because the acclaimed institution of higher learning just won a major legal battle against the Trump administration! One which might restore BILLIONS of dollars in funding!
Madison Banes is in the Naked Newsroom with the story!
On the second day of the new school year, Harvard got a major gift from a federal judge. She ruled that the Trump administration had broken the law when it froze billions of dollars in research funds, purportedly because the school hadn’t done enough to fight antisemitism. In her rebuke, the Obama-appointed judge wrote that courts had to “step up” and “act to safeguard academic freedom and freedom of speech as required by the Constitution.” The Trump administration plans on appealing.
More than A THOUSAND current and past employees of the Department of Health and Human Services have signed a letter calling for RFK Junior to resign as HHS Secretary! The letter – which also went to members of Congress – lists several ways Kennedy “continues to endanger the nation’s health.” Among them: facilitating the firing of the CDC director for refusing to go along with vaccine restrictions, and, quote, “Appointing political ideologues who pose as scientific experts and manipulate data to fit predetermined conclusions.”
We’ll see what happens there, but if science is going to win, it better move fast! Florida just announced plans to end all state vaccine mandates, including those for children! Currently, ALL states have vaccine requirements for those attending public schools, though some allow exceptions. For what it’s worth, CDC research suggests that over the last three decades, vaccines have saved the lives of over a million American children, as well as saving Americans over FIVE HUNDRED BILLION dollars in health care costs!
It’s hard to argue with those numbers. I’ll be back with more headlines in a bit, so don’t go away.
